Mandated Recyclables

EVERY HOUSEHOLD, BUSINESS, SCHOOL, HOSPITAL AND ANY OTHER INSTITUTION IS REQUIRED TO RECYCLE BY STATE LAW.
Additional materials may also be recycled by your municipality. Contact your municipal recycling coordinator for specific collection requirements.

Schools and Mixed Paper Recycling

In addition to recycling the mandated materials including high grade office paper, all schools are encouraged to recycle their mixed paper. Recycling mixed paper provides school districts with a convenient way to meet their responsibilities to recycle high grade office paper. The County’s Recyclable Materials Processing Facility accepts mixed paper (used writing paper, magazines, catalogs and junk mail) from schools at no charge. Schools should contact Mr. John Haas, District Recycling Coordinator, in writing to make arrangements.
